The next day Escar-Go stopped by; they’d heard we had the finest Assam this side of the creek, and they’d raced right over here to see if it was true. Satisfied with the assessment, and also singing the praises of our cucumber sandwiches, they said they’d tell their friends. Next thing you know we were having lovely parties every day, many lasting well into dusk to accommodate the pace of our new mollusk mates, and under the light of the setting sun even the timid Tizzie-Whizie poked their nose into our circle. “Welcome!” we said, and offered a plate of scones to the faerie hedgehog.
