Garden State Comic Fest : Summer Edition 2022

Wow. My first con behind the table is a week in the books. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, and I enjoyed every minute of it from setup to breakdown.

I’ll start with ‘thank you’s. I couldn’t have done this without my amazing team: Lorraine, Natasha, Andrew, and my dear mother who came even though it meant breaking out the winter coat in July. Thank you to the GSCF organizers, particularly Sal and Dave, who came in clutch and straightened out my missing table space in the 11th hour. Thanks to my fellow vendors, who welcomed me with open arms into your community. And of course, thank you, thank you, tusen takk to all of you who attended, who stopped to take a business card, who purchased a sticker or a pin or just chatted with me about my art. I’m so grateful to have shared a little of your time and added a smile to your day!

So what’s next here in the ScienFae circle? I learned a lot this first show that I’ll be implementing for the next. We’ll be taking the next month to get ready for FlameCon in August and NYCC in October, and we’re looking at possibly heading to HolMat in December. Instagram will be getting more active. I’ll be adding some Disney and Marvel themed stickers to my current inventory, and bringing some current designs to more merch. There will be more sassy stickers to give your friends and more affirmations to give yourself — or the other way around. Pride stickers are still available for pre-order as the first batch didn’t turn out quite perfect, and commissions will open soon for specific flags.

I think that all the updates I have for right now. Thank you again, and as always — May your day be lit with magic.
